You probably have some brown sugar hardening up in a plastic bag somewhere in your pantry. Isn't it annoying when you go to bake and the brown sugar is hard?? A tip I learned is that a piece of bread in your brown sugar adds just the right amount of moisture. And believe me, not too much moisture, even living in a humid place like Florida. So the next time you open a bag of brown sugar, pop a piece (or part of a piece) of bread in the bag before storing it in your pantry. It will be soft the next time you want to use it.
